DENTAL EMPORIUM

Welcome to Dr. Rick Lubitz's Dental Emporium!   What is a Dental Emporium? My intention is to provide people with the highest quality preventive dental care possible in an atmosphere that distracts from the stereotypical "dental environment". Fear stemming from negative or traumatic past dental experiences is one of the most common reasons for the avoidance of regular dental care. The neglect of regular dental visits can lead to serious problems, such as tooth infections and gum disease, requiring costly treatment and interventions. Small cavities are much less expensive and comfortable to fill than allowing decay to progress, leading to root canals and/or tooth loss. Regular professional cleanings are much less expensive than periodontal surgery. To motivate patients to seek care on a more regular basis, I have designed my office in a unique, "non-dental" way. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is not what you would expect from a typical dental office. Our waiting area has been designed for patient comfort from the seating and decor, to the coffee bar. Adjacent to the waiting area is the "Relaxation Room" with a massage chair, foot massager, wall fountain, and soothing music to help the patient unwind prior to treatment. Their companions enjoy it too while they wait for friends and family to be treated. We also have a game room for kids, young and old, which is equipped with arcade games so patients and their guests can play till their heart's content, of course at no charge. Each of our treatment rooms is decorated with a different theme, and all are equipped with televisions, music, and headphones, if desired, as well as massage mats on all of the treatment chairs. We also offer scented nitrous masks (a little aromatherapy) to distract from the smells. We do our best to ensure the comfort of our patients at all times before, during, and after treatment. So, by providing our family of patients with an alternative, relaxing, inviting, non-hostile environment, I hope to prevent dental phobias from developing in my younger patients, as well as combat established fears that my adult patients have already developed from past negative experiences. I have created an atmosphere to distract the dental patient from the dental situation, and so to speak, forget where he/she is. That is what my "Dental Emporium" is... stressless dentistry in a unique environment!
